It felt weird at first but worked really well

Collagen lip masks have taken the world of TikTok by storm, so I wanted to see what all the fuss was about.

The lip masks are said to reduce lip lines, restore moisture and help with lip wrinkles in a matter of minutes. Each box contains 20 different masks which can be used once, and I purchased my box from Amazon.

With cherry extract and vitamin E, the masks are said to help keep your lips hydrated with a conditioning effect. All I had to do was place the lip mask on my lips and keep it there for 15-20 minutes.

The product has received rave reviews from TikTokers all over the world, as well as on Amazon. Priced at £9.88 for 20 sheet masks, it was time to give the lip mask craze a whirl.

The lip masks came in a pretty pink box that essentially looked like a pair of lips. For under £10, I thought that was a nice touch, as the box kept the lip masks firmly in pace. I removed the film from the box and was shocked at how moist the lip masks actually were in the packaging. They were all stuck together, encased in a refreshing serum like liquid.

After placing the lip mask on my lips, I’ll admit, I felt a little uncomfortable at first. Obviously, I couldn’t speak or even move my lips, and it was quite slippy at first.

As the minutes passed, the mask became more comfortable, and stuck to my lips firmly for the full 15 minutes. If I had to describe the sensation in one word, I’d say ‘refreshing.’

The mask was quite cooling and I could tell that the product was soaking into not just my lips, but the surrounding skin too. It had a really refreshing scent and it wasn’t too strong which was a plus.

My lips definitely felt softer and plumper after keeping the collagen mask on for 15 minutes, the difference was noticeable. Like any product, I’m sure you'd need to use the lip masks daily to really recognise a long term difference. For a quick pamper session and instant results, I’d highly recommend these lip masks. Considering you get 20 in a pack for less than £10, I’d say that’s reasonably good value from Amazon.

The masks were refreshing and soft and it was a really nice change to pay attention to my lips, as opposed to a face mask or hair mask. I for one am very guilty for forgetting about looking after my lips.

For someone that wears a lot of lipstick, virtually every day and often matte, this product made my lips feel moist, fresh and soothed. I’ll be giving the Amazon lip masks a 4/5 as they were great for a pamper after a busy day.
