A sudden makeup emergency calls for a glamorous toolbox to conceal any blemishes or touch up fading lipstick. With a triple-digit heat wave hitting this week, here are some beauty products that won’t leave you with a running face of makeup.

Walking under the blazing SoCal sun can lead to an oily T-zone. Target’s Up & Up oil absorbing sheets help remove excess oil on the skin and resist smearing makeup. The 70-sheet pack is a cheap snatch at $3.69.

A pricier option is Beauty Bakerie’s parchment paper sheets, sold at Ulta for $12. A singlepack, it has 100 sheets, is cruelty and fragrance-free - and for those that like a little luxury, it’s infused with 24k gold flakes.

A portable fragrance glossed over pulse points guarantees a whiff of freshness throughout the school day. Victoria’s Secret’s Eau de Parfum rollerball is America’s number one fragrance at $19.95, imbued with a sparkling scent of peonies and exotic fruits.

Another subtle floral option is Dolce & Gabbana’s Light Blue Eau de Toilette for $29 at Ulta. Its aroma consists of green apple, jasmine, rose,  and musk. Despite its price, this backpack companion is long-lasting and not too overpowering.

Setting powder is a skin game changer, as it extends makeup wear with a soft matte finish. The original mineral veil pressed powder from bareMinerals blurs imperfections and fine lines.. It is a perfect lightweight product to carry around school and is sold at Ulta for $30, which includes an applicator pad and mirror.

The cost of eyelash extensions can easily engulf students’ bank accounts. However, beauty doesn’t always have to be a pain in the wallet. Those who prefer false eyelash strips must pair them with a reliable eyelash glue, or the lash will start to dangle off the lid. Duo’s lash adhesive dark glue blends and dries on the eyelash strip seamlessly. It is sold at Ulta for $6.99.

Excessive hand washing in hot sink water or over pouring hand sanitizer into your palms irritates the skin barrier. Dry hand problems call for a hydrating and calming moisturizer. The handy Bath and Body Works’ glycerin hand cream is a thick cream that softens the skin texture for only $7.50.

Stepping up to a school mirror and being mortified by an unexpected bad hair day can send anyone into a frenzy. Packing a small comb or brush to detangle hair is a lifesaver. Target’s Conair foldable teasing comb and hair brush combo is a 2-in-1 deal as it locks in volume and fullness.

Shimmery lips are pleasing to the eye, and Marc Jacobs’s gold lip gloss promises that. The enamored hi-shine lip lacquer plumps the lips and creates an ultra-brilliant look. It is sold at Sephora for $28 but typically sells out fast.

Those that aren’t fans of the glitz can pack Rosebud Perfume Co.’s Menthol and Eucalyptus balm to heal chapped skin, lips, and other minor skin irritations. It contains natural menthol, eucalyptus, and camphor oils to soothe the skin. One lip balm at Sephora sells for $7.

The lip balm trio from Smith’s sold at Ulta for $17 includes a rosebud salve tube, minted rose lip balm tube, and a rose and mandarin lip balm. It is moisturizing, lightweight, softens the skin, and has a delicate fragrance your skin will be thankful for.
